If one of your siblings ignores you, it usually mean that you did something to him/her, or they're not noticing that they are doing it and is making it seem that way.
Usually, ignoring a sibling mean basically giving them the cold shoulder. Not talking to them, moving away when they come near you, and doesn't mention anything about it to anyone but maybe a close friend. Trust me, I have a 16 year old sister, and she ignores me from time to time. Usually it's because I said something I shouldn't have. An example is this blog, when she found out about it she was furious, but she got over it.
But---why does a sibling usually ignore you?
Like I said in the beginning, it usually means that you did something to tick them off or they don't notice it. To tick them off to the point where they ignore you, it means you could've embarrassed them, left your chores to be done by them, you took matters in your own hands that didn't need to be your business in the first place, and you keep on making fun of them.
How do they not notice it though?
They may not notice it by not talking to anybody, not just you, being apart from everyone else. One example is my friend, Carter. He felt as if his older brother Matt was ignoring him, since he didn't really speak to him and seemed like he was ignoring him.
When he brought the subject up, Matt said, "Oh, sorry, I didn't realize you felt that way and I was doing it to you."
That's why your sibling usually ignores you.
